These are called Sarough or Sarouk Carpets. The carpets are made using high quality wool in workshop as well as household looms. The traditional rug has herati and boteh patterns all over or in the medallion layout. The medallion can be of almost any geometric shape. Most famous of all is a medallion and corner layout.
